The Mini Collet ER (Mini Collet) is a fantastic accessory that is the bridge between power carving and miniature carving and texturing. It easily converts a standard 4-1/2” (115mm) angle grinder from a power tool that traditionally uses powerful cutting, carving and sanding accessories into one that is capable of also doing miniature detail carving and texturing, using many ⅛” and ¼” mandrel accessories. It makes the angle grinder the most versatile power tool in your arsenal of tools.
The Mini Collet consists of the main adaptor securing either a ⅛” or ¼” ER-11 collet with a 17mm wrench. It is a high-quality product, well built and runs true. There is no slippage or loosening from the angle grinder. The collet extends 3-11/32” (85mm) (pretty doggone close to 3-3/8”) from the grinder’s center shaft (does not include your accessory’s length).
It virtually eliminates the need to purchase expensive power tools, like die grinders, air compressor and associated hardware, mini carvers, and flex shaft units. It is best using ¼” shank accessories and performs really well using all tungsten carbide burrs.
When fitting the Mini Collet on an angle grinder, it screws on to the threaded shaft at right angles to the main body. Your productivity can increase as you’ll be able to stand over your workpiece, moving around to rapidly push, pull, carve and texture in any direction. This combination opens the door to more power, greater versatility, durability and control over other power tools and requires a different but comfortable stance to see and control the work.
The ER-11 collet allows for total clamping along its inner surfaces. Because the collet can compress evenly, it can hold accessories with mandrel or shafts up to a millimeter below the shank diameter. The ER collet system is the most widely used clamping system in the world. Manpa ER collets are made from high grade tool steel, hardened and ground to close tolerance. Kerf cuts allow the collet to expand and contract as needed within the specific clamping range to securely hold the tool or workpiece.

Greater Reach with MP21-16 Crack Cutter EXTENSION
As amazing as this Mini Collet is, you can make it longer! IF YOU ALREADY OWN A MP21-16 Crack Cutter, THE INCLUDED EXTENSION is also used to further extend the Mini Collet by 2⅜”. If you don’t yet own one, we strongly suggest you buy the MP21-16 Crack Cutter to 1) extend your reach with the Mini Collet and 2) achieve even more creativity using this great addition to your tool chest. The total distance, mini collet body, collet holder + CC extension, lengthens to 5-3/16” (132mm) (does not include your accessory’s length).
