KAT4 ESSENTIALS are a limited edition series, which include 4 different 2” (50mm) accessories in each set. This Starter Set has the right accessories to get started if you’re new to miniature power carving or just want to add them as spares to your toolbox.  It contains the 8 tooth sawchain and disc (The World’s Smallest Chain Saw), our popular round profile, red medium coarse tungsten carbide disc, and one of each 60 and 120 grit flap disc sanders. Start carving with the chain blade, remove the rough and high spots with the carbide disc then finish smooth with the flap disc sanders.

They fit our popular Merlin2 miniature angle grinder and any mini angle grinder that uses 2” (50mm) accessories with a 10mm center hole e.g. Proxxon and Arbortech.  Each KAT4 set has been carefully selected by our team of woodcarvers and woodturners to provide value and versatility to all owners of mini grinders. And carvers who are working on a smaller scale can enjoy the rapid, yet controlled stock removal that large project carvers have enjoyed for years.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

SKU 21008 Merlin2® 8-tooth Sawchain Disc Assembly - held between two 10mm discs is used to rough out, remove, cut, shape and sculpt wood. It’s great for light stock removal and use in tight, difficult to reach areas. It sharpens easily with our 5/32” 
SKU 10009 Merlin2® Coarse Red Round Profile Carbide Disc - removes high spots, ridges and rough spots, shaping material rapidly, leaving a smooth but coarse surface finish. It is our most popular all round disc.
SKU 10042 Merlin2® Flap Disc Sander – 60 Grit
SKU 10043 Merlin2® Flap Disc Sander – 120 Grit

• The 60 and 120 grit flap disc sanders are used to provide a smooth finish to your creation. Go from the coarse 120 grit then use the 240 grit flap disc sander.  All these accessories will provide a start to your small projects carving experience e.g. small bowls, spoons, ladles, caricatures.
