This is a starter, affordable kit that can be used with your chucked flexible shaft on your own power sources. This may be a drill press or any machine with an adjustable chuck where the speed can be lowered to around 3,400 rpm and certainly not higher than 7000 rpm. The dome shaped round sander, our most popular, is particularly well suited for round, curved, bulging or cup-formed shapes, whether convex or concave contours. It’s a dream accessory and takes the hard work out of hand sanding curved surfaces like the inside of bowls and boxes. The drum sander is terrific for putting the finishing touches on small to medium flat surfaces. These two accessories are ideal for difficult profiles, finishing small to medium carvings, boxes, bowls, musical instruments, duck decoys, walking sticks, fine furniture, toys, spoons, 3D-intarsia, taxidermy and a myriad of other DIY applications.
The inflatable sanders normally turn at 3,400 rpm for optimum sanding performance but you can run them up to a maximum of 7,000 rpm, according to the manufacturer. We don’t guarantee the results at this high speed only because we’ve never run them this fast!
