Guinevere® Organic Wax is a unique non-toxic, food safe oil based wax, harvested in Sweden from the Arctic Bearberry Plant, cold pressed Swedish Linseed Oil and Beeswax. The oil penetrates into and impregnates the wood whilst the wax is left on top of the surface as a protective layer. It also ensures good protection against moisture and dirt from the outside and keeps the wood healthy from the inside. It dries relatively fast (1-2 days) due to high contents of linolenic acids in the linseed oil and hardens/cures within two weeks. It is non-toxic whether in paste or in dried form. Preferably use a hot air gun or hair dryer when easily applying the oil wax with a soft cloth, paper towel or soft tissue paper. This makes the oil-wax even easier to spread out and speeds up the drying/curing process. It leaves a silky matte surface in one or two layers. Three layers or more increases gloss. The wax leaves a very smooth surface while bringing out the wood’s natural beauty.
